Intensive ABA Services

Our intensive therapy program is designed to provide a high dosage of individualized, quality ABA services.

What do intensive services look like?

When your child starts therapy with us, they will be assigned to one of our talented clinical supervisors who are all credentialed as a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). Your child will work 1:1 with a registered behavior technician (RBT) who implements their individual treatment plan under the direct supervision of the BCBA.

During clinical sessions, we use the following principles to establish positive behavioral change:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis

  • Functional Communication Training

  • Natural Environment Teaching

  • Child-led teaching imbedded in play

  • Adaptive Discrete Trial Training

  • Developmental Assessments

  • Caregiver Training

What kinds of skills are addressed?

At the beginning of services, our team with conduct a developmental milestone assessment to assess your child’s unique skill set and work with you to determine areas for growth to be addressed during therapy.

Some skill areas that may be addressed include:

  • Communication skills

  • Social and play skills

  • Expressive and receptive language skills

  • Gross motor and fine motor skills

  • Functional living skills

  • Group learning skills

How are sessions structured?

Spectra offers half-day, clinic-based sessions. When a child first starts our program, we typically begin with a high dosage of services which equates to 15-20 hours a week of direct therapy.

Daily sessions are characterized by:

  • Rapport building and 1:1 therapy with a Registered Behavior Technician

  • Balance of structured and unstructured learning opportunities

  • Free play and play-based teaching

  • Group times for social skill development that mimic daycare providers and schools

  • Adapted, school-like session space

  • Observation, support, and in-person supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
